The Rottenlead site offers a support forum, news and gallery for roleplayers, wargamers and boardgamers from the Surrey and Sussex area and beyond. The group paint miniature figures in 28mm, 6mm and 15mm scale so and we are really interested in hearing the experiences of other miniature painters and gamers. The members of the club or society we operate are mostly based in the Sussex and Surrey areas of the UK and we meet at least once a week in Crawley or Brighton to play our hobby games. The games played include, but are not exclusive to the following list and are not restricted to any particular genre (SCI-FI, Fantasy, Horror)
Roleplaying Games
Dungeons and Dragons, Golden Heroes, White Wolf Games (Vampire etc), Savage Worlds, Cthuhlu, Battletech, Killzone, Necromunda, Gurps, Pendragon, Runequest, Cyber Punk, Saga and Everway.
Wargames, Boardgames and Cardgames
Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan, Descent, Magic the Gathering, Warhammer Fantasy Battle, Dork Tower, Munchkin, Warhammer 40K, Battlecars, Dark Future, A Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Wings of War and Car Wars. Scales played include 6mm, 15mm and we use miniatures from Games Workshop, Confrontation, Ral Partha, Rackham, Reaper, WOTC, Hasslefree, Freebooter, GZG (Ground Zero Games) and Old Crow Models.
Our main goal as a group of around fifteen players is to have fun. Most of the group will either run a campaign or be happy to play in one as a character and the main aim is to have a great game whilst eating snacks. The games are played at member houses, so we like to get to know a little about new members before you attend a full session.
To join us, first sign up in the forum and introduce yourself. One of the members will let you know when a game is starting that can be joined.
